Take a look at the intelligence articles on here (see main menu) and read the ones that are categorized as AI. Read some quality articles online, such as the Stanford AI Index.
If you don't come to the conclusion that AI is a mandatory part of our personal and professional lives, right now, and in the future, think about that very carefully. Read about what AI is doing and understand what a dramatic change is happening. Look in particular at the reasons and the discussion of the hype.
You will soon learn that you can't really afford not to learn something about AI.
